Job Description:
The Workshop Assistant will be responsible for assisting mechanics in the maintenance and repair of trucks. They will also be required to carry out repairs and maintenance work on generators and other machinery as requested by the Transport Manager. The Workshop Assistant must ensure that work is carried out safely and efficiently and adhere to health and safety regulations. They will also be responsible for the upkeep of records and the daily and weekly cleaning of the work area.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist mechanics in maintenance and repairs of trucks and trailers
• Carry out repairs and maintenance work on generators and other machinery as requested by the Transport Manager
• Ensure that work is carried out safely and efficiently
• Uphold records as required
• Ensure daily and weekly cleaning of the work area
• Carry out any workshop related activities as requested by the Fleet Manager
• Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends when required
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
