Position Purpose:
Responsible for data processing and general administration in support of vetting investigation activities. Handle enquiries relevant to desk responsibilities, implement and maintain a record and filing system and liaise and communicate with internal and external clients such as the State Security Agency, South African Police Service and the South African National Defence Force.
Position outputs:
- Retrieve and capture data from databases and open source
- Evaluate retrieved information for relevance to security competence
- Interpret data retrieved from databases
- Prepare vetting report and forward to relevant area of responsibility
- Prepare and forward vetting statistics
- Handle client service and liaison

- Provide on-the-job training
- Maintain the Security Vetting Information System
- Implement a record and filing system

Qualifications & Experience:
- NQF 6 in Political Science, Social Science, Economics, Journalism, Law
- 5 years’ experience operational experience in Security environment, preferably vetting investigations environment
