JOB DESCRIPTION
The Bin/Container Tracker is responsible for:
- Tracking and monitoring movements of scrap bins
- Issuing bin reconciliation reports – daily, weekly and monthly reporting
- Identifying and assessing damaged bins
- Coordinating the repairs of the damaged bins
- Advising buying and operations on bin availability
- Assisting with general adhoc duties in the logistics department.
- Tracking down and recovering of lost bins
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Computer literacy essential ( Microsoft office) – create and maintain excel spreadsheets, communicate with email, compile reports and present data in tabulated form
- Experience working in a Transport orientated division and environment will be an added advantage
- Valid Code 08 license
- Own, reliable transport
QUALIFYING ATTRIBUTES
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to communicate well (both verbally and in writing) in English, and preferably other South African languages
- Experience in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to take initiative
- Detail-orientated and results driven
- Ability to organize effectively and prioritize own workload
