Sales Representative : Marley Pipe Systems

Job Description

  • Marley Pipe Systems (SA) (Pty) Ltd.  is looking for two Sales Representatives,one to be based in the Southern Region, Cape Town and the other for the Garden Route.
  • To maximise and increase sales of all Marley Pipe Systems’ products and selling across the product range by identifying leads, educating prospects on products through calls, training, and presentations, and providing existing customers with exceptional support.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Promote and sell Marley products in the Cape Town region and extended territory.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the territory.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Building relationships with key influencers in the market (architects, engineers, contractors, etc.).
  • Attend plumbers evenings to promote Marley products and conduct compliance training relating to Marley products
  • Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
  • Where necessary, support marketing efforts and customer efforts, such as trade shows, exhibits and other events.
  • Submit weekly and monthly reports.
  • Doing in-store and on-site training at customers
  • Follow through on sales process at each stage from quote, to purchase to fulfilment and follow up
  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum matric/Std10/Grade12
  • Drivers licence
  • Ideally 2 years’ experience in the Plastics fluid / plumbing and agriculture industry.
  • A Sales/Marketing diploma/degree would be advantageous.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ Sales experience.

  • Good understanding of SANS 10252-1 & 2 as well as SANS 10254
  • Good understanding and knowledge of SANS 791, 967, 1601, 1532 & 11
