Job Description

  • Our client a dynamic firm with local and international clients is looking for an internal sales administrator.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving, processing and monitoring customer orders and manufacturing orders;
  • Capturing sales orders and following up on deliveries;
  • Keeping track of customer stock requirements;
  • Accurately defining and maintaining customer and product data on the ERP Systems;
  • Liaising and assisting customers with orders, back-orders queries and following up, both on email and telephonically;
  • Liaising with operations and planning department to track customer order completion;
  • Following up on daily reports for stock and deliveries.
  • Liaising with customers and account managers on a daily basis to update them on the progress of orders and to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled;
  • Coordinating with account managers to satisfy customer requirements;
  • Responding, within the shortest possible time, to customer queries and requests;
  • Liaising with production planning and warehousing regarding any queries and costing on products related to stock holding;
  • Ensuring that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion, including account queries.

Requirements

  • Must have Matric or equivalent ;
  • A Business Administration  NQF 4  would be advantageous;
  • Computer literacy in Word and Excel, and a high level of numeracy; as well as having previous experience working on Syspro or any other ERP System is preferred;
  • Previous experience having worked in an Internal Sales Administrative role is essential;
  • Atleast four years’ experience  working in a manufacturing environment (FMCG or related) is preferred ;
  • A strong customer service orientation with the ability to develop strategic customer relationships;
  • Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal staff at all levels;
  • The ability to work according to strict deadlines;
  • A professional telephone manner;
  • Needs to be a able to plan and prioritize their day effectively;
  • A pro-active approach with a view to implementing on-going improvements to customer service levels;
  • Must have attention to detail and be highly organised as well as be driven and able to take ownership;
  • Must be a team player and be able to work independently
