Residence Officer | IIE MSA

IIE MSA, formerly known as Monash South Africa, was founded in 2001 by Monash University. Since April 2019 we are part of The Independent Institution of Education (The IIE), a leader in the higher education sphere. The IIE is internationally recognised by the British Accreditation Council. IIE MSA, located on a 100-hectare campus in Ruimsig, Johannesburg, in the province of Gauteng. In addition to domestic (South African) students, IIE MSA is home to a diverse of cultures of students from 50 African countries.

The IIE MSA Ruimsig campus in Roodepoort has a vacancy for a Residence Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Process Undergraduate and Postgraduate applications for accommodation
• Send out all student correspondence on time
• Process and administer student residence accounts
• Liaise with resident allocation officer on detailed room allocations for billing purpose
• Manage the student rent accounts to ensure all charges, deductions and amendments to contracts are updated accordingly
• Reconcile student accounts with student database
• Co-ordinate and facilitate debt control / collection
• Provide information and advice to students
• Contribute to the maintenance of related student finance documentation
• Liaise closely with other team members regarding student finance procedures
• Ensure that all student finance information is kept up to date and available to students and staff
• Facilitate approval of payment extensions and instalment arrangements in conjunction with IIE MSA Finance department
• Liaise with students, parents and fee payers regarding all student accommodation matters and student status
• Involved in manning the information stands for Campus open days
• Arrange residence events / activities
• Liaise with internal and external service providers

Minimum Qualification Required
• Matric is essential.
• Minimum Work Experience Required:
• Relevant Residence Management and Student Services experience

Special Requirement
Must be willing and able to work flexible working hours.
Candidate would be required to reside on campus.
