Job Description

  • The role is to create a welcoming environment for the organization, its clients, and guests manage our front desk daily and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
  • Receiving and sorting daily mail
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing


  • Grade 12
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a reception role
  • Computer Literacy
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
