Job Description
  • A Leading Medical Device Company is looking for a Receiving Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Verifying container arrival booking times, with various carriers
  • Collection and checking of packing lists for due containers from Shipping
  • Communication with carrier on number of containers that can be accepted  per day
  • Verifying Sea and Airfreight receipts
  • Supervising the off-loading of air/sea freight consignments
  • Ensure that temperature loggers for refer containers are stop and recorded upon arrival
  • Ensuring that the temperature loggers are taken to the team
  • Recoding all necessary receipt information per container
  • Visual check on quality of freight upon arrival and reporting any anomalies
  • Verifying batches and material quantities against corresponding packing lists
  • Taking out sample stock and ensuing that its taken to the team for all Products
  • Communicating any discrepancies, with receipts to inbound admin team and buyers
  • Staging receipts for put away
  • Ensuring checked packing lists are booked in by inbound admin team
  • Supervising put-away of received stock and ensuring the TO’s are accepted by inbound admin team
  • Receiving  and checking of Wrapsa stock upon arrival,
  • Checking and ensuring the put away of Wrapsa Stock
  • Receiving and checking of stock from Longlake Production Plant
  • Checking and ensuring the put away of Longlake Production Plant Stock
  • Checking and staging reject cage stock for destruction
  • Supervising twice daily replenishment from Back up to Picking Bins
  • Performing and carrying out daily stock cycle counts
  • Ensuring that daily housekeeping is maintained
  • Checking and verifying non-stock receipts
  • Taking non-stock receipts to their respective departments
  • Helping inbound admin team with bin consolidations and rationalization from time to time
  • Checking and ensuring that the all staff, part of the receiving team hold the necessary accreditation and licenses for Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
  • Checking and ensuring that all MHE checklists are completed
  • Help inbound admin team with booking in the receipts when possible (SAP)
  • Help inbound admin team with block bin management
  • Carry out any reasonable requested from warehouse supervisor and or manager from time to time.
  • Weekend work from time to time on request

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or higher Certificate
  • SAP knowledge will be advantages
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a basic understanding of MS office
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to lead a team
