Project Specialist | Marsh

We are looking for a highly qualified individual to join the Marsh IMPACT team in South Africa. The role involves the management and coordination of complex new business and defensive bids / reviews / RFP’s / tenders. It also involves producing high quality reports, literature and presentations to aid sales and retention. Working to deadlines and delivering within required timescales.

We require a candidate with excellent communication skills who is well organized and efficient within tight time scales. This includes always seeking to deliver best practice, market leading service and solutions to a very high standard of detail. The ability to work well as part of a team is essential including engaging across multiple stakeholders to ensure objectives are met. Thinking outside of the box and creating new models and frame works is essential.

Responsible for managing and coordinating complex new business and defensive bids / reviews / RFP’s / tenders. Producing high quality reports, literature and presentations to aid sales and retention. Working to deadlines and delivering within required timescales.

Key Responsibilities

• Writes proposal / presentation original content for responses to RFPs geared toward readers’ needs and level of knowledge with oversight from senior colleagues
• Reviews drafts from team contributors for clarity, conciseness, logic, flow, tone, completeness, accuracy, precision, consistency and credibility
• Identifies strategic opportunities within small RFP opportunities to help team extract and create more value for/from clients
• Participates in strategy discussion of operating company differentiators for specific opportunities
• Works with a variety of internal resources and tools to research, obtain and integrate specific information about operating company into proposals and presentations.
• Creates templates for proposals and presentations following predefined formatting standards.
• Manages the proposal/presentation development process by developing work plans/schedules for typical RFP projects.
• Reviews drafts from team contributors for clarity, conciseness, logic, flow, tone, completeness, accuracy, precision, consistency and credibility
• Assesses Requests for Proposals for complete understanding of proposal submission
• Manages opportunity strategy formulation, working closely with Client Managers/consulting team to help identify client/prospect business-drivers, and create the optimal proposal communication strategy, corresponding theme, and graphic approach
