Officer: Support Resource | ER24

Main purpose of job
To assess and coordinate emergency vehicles or calls to ensure a timeous response to incidents logged on Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). To assist in receiving , prioritise and log emergency and non-emergency telephone calls and to determine the appropriate level of EMS assistance

Key responsibility areas
▪ Dispatch vehicles according to the CAD system
▪ Assist in receiving, prioritise, logging, and processing all calls and alerts received
▪ Provide basic contact centre administration

Required education
▪ BAA/ Level 3 first aid Certification

Required experience
▪ Contact Centre / Emergency Contact Centre exposure
▪ 1 – 3 years dispatching in an EMS contact centre

▪ Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
