Job Title: Membership Data Capturer

Overview:

The Membership Data Capturer is responsible for accurately capturing membership applications and managing queries related to membership errors or problems. The incumbent will also be responsible for initiating debit order mandates and following up on debit order status for retail clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture all paper applications for employer group memberships
  • Add and delete dependents on the system
  • Ensure updated policy schedules are sent out
  • Interrogate reports to address exceptions and issues related to member file loads
  • Conduct reconciliation of raw file data with system information on an ongoing basis
  • Communicate with third-party system suppliers as needed
  • Review weekly reports of all membership-related activities, including exceptions and query resolution
  • Handle membership queries in a timely and logical manner within a 24-hour turnaround time
  • Manage membership loading, welcome packs, and membership cards
  • Follow quality assurance and standard operating procedure documents
  • Maintain electronic filing of all membership-related documentation
  • Capture prepaid procedure customers’ membership manually after confirming payment received
  • Capture individual policy applications from supplied application forms
  • Manage a team of data captures and perform quality assurance on all captured information
  • Ensure accuracy of capturing and send out all welcome packs
  • Handle queries and add or remove dependents as requested
  • Deal with any queries within the required timeframe
  • Perform debit order mandates
  • Stay current on Netcare’s evolving policies and procedures
  • Work effectively and cooperatively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships

Skills and Experience:

  • Grade 12 education
  • 2 years of previous experience in a membership administration/data capturing role, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent planning, organization, and administrative skills
  • Level 3 Excel skills
