Key Outputs
•Assist a mechanic/technician when servicing and repairing machines and/or components to OEM standards and customer requirements while maintaining an orderly and safe workspace
•Assist the mechanic (s) in performing moderate to complex maintenance and repair work on machines and/or components
•Have knowledge about the tools and which ones are used which jobs to ensure the mechanic /technicians has them within reach
•Ensure and maintain good housekeeping
•Assist mechanics to obtain and check parts for jobs planned
•Maintain a safe and orderly workplace
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
•Grade 12/ Matric
•Technical background an advantage
•Ability to obtain a forklift and overheard certification within 90 days after being appointed
•Ability to follow instructions under supervision
•Drivers Licence –Code B an advantage
Skills
•Good verbal comprehension and physical resilience
•Good communication skills and customer relations.
• Must be a team player and be willing to work overtime
