About the position:
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry while supporting a high-performing team. As a trainee, you will have the chance to learn about the tissue making process and recycled fiber practices, as well as develop your skills in operational controls, data analysis, and project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete a practical work experience log book related to the theory learned at university
  • Assist with operational controls for tissue and recycled fiber production
  • Implement centerlining, TPM, and lean principles
  • Track and analyze source material inputs, including pulp, waste paper, water, energy, and chemical consumption
  • Work as part of the manufacturing team to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Conduct data and trend analysis to identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in simple projects to support operational efficiency and understanding of the production process

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in 3rd year of university and ready to begin P1 and P2 (practical requirements)
  • Academic results above 70% in final year and an average of 60-65% or higher during the duration of studies
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Customer-focused approach and willingness to learn
  • Strong administration skills and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
