Internal Sales Rep : Voltex (Pty) Ltd.

Job Description

  • Voltex is looking at employing an Internal Sales Representative (yes programme) for their Bidvest Renewable Solutions Gauteng division. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.
  • The main scope for this position is to play a fundamental role in achieving customer requisition and revenue growth objectives through internal sales.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Sell Company’s products to customers over the counter
  • Manage and control all stock movement, including the issuing of daily stock quantities in conjunction with the Procurement Manager
  • Keep record of the daily production sheet and monitor the yields, i.e.  quantities produced versus quantities produced
  • Manage the couriers and making sure that deliveries are made on time
  • Assist in stock taking
  • Manage COD invoices and collects outstanding payments
  • Manage cash sales and be responsible for the cash float
  • Handle orders telephonically
  • Create invoices
  • Handle quotes on the CRM system
  • Update and maintain customer profiles on the CRM system
  • Resolve queries with customers
  • Manage and maintain pricing in line with the company pricing policy
  • Ensure that all the relevant information is obtained from customers to ensure accuracy of all orders, i.e., order numbers, delivery address, contacts, special arrangements etc.
  • Issue credit applications and terms and condition to all new customers
  • Take initiative while still working well within company policies and procedures
  • Make sure that no stock leaves the company without the proper documentation
  • Attend weekly and monthly sales meeting


  • A valid grade 12 certificate is essential
  • At least 2 years electrical sales experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical products
  • Computer literate
  • Have good communication skills both written and verbal     
  • Have time management skill
  • Meticulous and pay attention to detail
  • Have a passion for sales and be target driven
