General Worker at Essential Health

We are seeking a General Worker/Housekeeper to perform a variety of cleaning duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout all areas of the business.
• Keep the building in a clean and orderly condition;
• Ensure that all walkways and reception areas remain clean and free of debris;
• Cleaning tasks such as cleaning mirrors, removing rubbish, dusting, mopping, sweeping and vacuuming;
• Emptying garbage bins on a daily basis;
• Ensure that the kitchens are clean and tidy at all times, dishes are washed and fridges are clean;
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures and to clean the windows, frames and blinds;
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines are adhered to at all times;
• Ensure that bathrooms are kept sanitary throughout the day, e.g. ensure that there is enough toilet paper, hand soap at the basins and replenish when required;
• Informing management about cleaning supplies needed etc.;
• May be asked to run errands, collect mail or assist with a delivery.

Skills Include

• Well spoken with good command of English and Afrikaans;
• Highly motivated and capable of working alone;
• A friendly disposition with a strong client services focus;
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multi-task;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• A positive attitude and taking pride in work.
• Well presented.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric/Grade 12
• Valid driver’s license non-negotiable
• Must be physically fit in order to perform a variety of cleaning duties.
