Job Description
- Eagles Pride Hatchery has a vacancy for a Game Ranger at its Khalanyoni Game Ranch situated just outside Northam in the Limpopo Province.
- The Game Ranger will be responsible to provide support with day to day operations including general farm and lodge management, maintenance, controlling animal population as well as hunting and breeding operations to ensure overall performance and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
- General Lodge and infrastructure maintenance
- Hosting of guests
- Game drives
- Coordinate hunting trips
- Anti-Poaching initiatives
- Animal welfare
- Game Management and capturing programs
- People Management
- Veld monitoring and maintenance
- Lodge safety and security
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Minimum FGASA Level 2
- DEAT/THETA registered in Limpopo Province
- Above average planning, organising and controlling skills
- People Management Skills
- Neat and well presentable
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Applications- Word, Excel, Outlook
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic technical knowledge including mechanical, welding and electrical skills
- 4×4 Skills and General knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Rifle/Weapon competence
- Passion for wildlife and environment
- Detail orientated, problem solving skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Bilingual in Afrikaans/English
- Willingness to work long hours (flexi)
- Code 10 (PDP Advantageous)
- Professional Hunter License advantageous
