Job Description:

The EOC Artisan will be responsible for applying retrofit and performing reworks in manufactured Rolling Stock units. This includes following retrofit/rework Work Instruction (WI) documents and complying with Gibela industrial and quality processes. The position reports to the EPU Manager.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Trade Test (Mechanical or Electrical)
• IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• English fluency
• Technical background with 2 to 3 years’ experience, preferably in the railway industry and Product knowledge
• Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems preferable

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implementation of modifications in Rolling Stock units according to the modification file, in line with company procedures in relation to Industrial and Quality.
• Undertake reworks, retrofits, repairs, and/or other kinds of works to perform outside manufacturing facility as specified by the Manager.
• Carry out work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as laid down by legislation and the Company Health & Safety policies.
• Work collaboratively with the EPU Manager in identifying correct tools and ensure availability prior work, validity, and certification of relevant tools.
• Organize all correct materials, components, and parts prior work are available.
• Maintenance of End of Cycle Retrofit File.
• Ensure handover information flow within the End Of Cycle team is maintained.
• Perform quality self-Inspection
• Provide clear and detailed report on daily activities [On WI in CR Implementation & Major Reworks, Clock on relevant Production Orders (MES)]
• Support PAC Operations activities in Wolmerton as and when required.
• Attend regular team briefings.
