Job Description:

The Driver will be responsible for providing delivery and collection services, ensuring timely collection and delivery. They will be required to adhere to road regulations and maintain strong relationships with customers. The role is permanent and based in Fourways, Gauteng, South Africa.

Requirements:

– Matric qualification
– Valid professional driver’s license
– Valid PDP
– Minimum of 5-8 years of experience

Skills:

– Excellent knowledge of road regulations
– Strong communication and customer service skills
– Ability to analyze delivery addresses and determine appropriate routes
– Attention to detail for vehicle inspection and maintenance
– Ability to work independently and adhere to company policies and procedures

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver office-related documents safely within deadlines.
• Analyze delivery addresses, determine appropriate routes, and maintain a schedule.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle.
• Complete the log book and report any incidents to the supervisor.
• Follow road rules and regulations.
• Perform vehicle inspections, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
• Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues.
• Book car wash services to maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Adhere to company operating policies and procedures.
• Collect parcels and deliveries from reception.
• Deliver items such as newspapers, documents, and packages between departments.
• Sort items to be delivered according to the delivery route.
• Record information such as items received and delivered.
• Collect, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
• Collect, seal, and stamp outgoing mail.
• Renew vehicle license renewals.
