Intercare Corporate Services situated in Lynnwood, Pretoria, seeks to recruit a Debtors Clerk. The focus of this position will be to handle debtors’ administration tasks relating to medical aid claims in order to minimize debtor’s days in a client friendly, yet effective manner.
Be familiar with the rules of the funders.
Ensure all accounts and short payments are followed up on after processing of remittances.
Remittance advices are reconciled accurately.
Manage the age analysis to ensure accounts are paid promptly.
Ensure only valid accounts are handed over to collection department for collection.
Ensure all write offs are in line with Company Policy and Procedure.
Be able to handle all patients and practice related queries in a professional manner, within required time frame.
Minimum: Grade 12
Finance related qualification will be advantageous
Minimum 2 years experience in a debtor’s environment processing medical accounts advantageous
Understanding of Medical Accounts and Medical Aids
Knowledge of the GoodX system will be advantageous
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Highly organised and able to tackle multiple tasks
Customer service orientation and team player
Financial and business acumen
Ability to work well under pressure
