Control Operator : Modise Protection Services

Job Description​​​​​​​

  • Control the operation at Modise Protection Services for all sites. Ensure all administrative tasks are executed to the highest possible standard expected.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain administrative procedures and systems and devising ways to streamline processes
  • Record all sites incident on the occurrence book and electronic
  • Manage schedules and deadlines
  • Making sure that all sites are covered
  • Send compliments to relevant client in time
  • Monitor Sefeko guard patrol system (Clocking points) and make sure that all sites reaches 100% as client requires
  • Monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation
  • Oversee facilities services and maintenance activities at all sites
  • Ensure operations adhere to policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
  • Keep abreast with all organizational changes and business developments
  • Maintenance of all reporting in the operations department
  • Planning, preparing, organizing, and executing office events including meetings and inspections and travel arrangements
  • Answering phones and responding to client requests and inquiries
  • Keeping track of inventory and ordering supplies
  • Maintaining financial, employee, and client records
  • Drafting and mailing customer correspondence and newsletters and incident reports
  • Manage employees by recruiting when required, performance management , development and upskilling and correcting unsatisfactory behavior
  • Performing other duties as assigned
  • Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Receive complaints from employees at the site
  • Maintain timekeeping and personnel records
  • Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
  • Prepare and submit performance reports
  • Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises

Requirements

  • Matric Certificate
  • Control room operator Certificate or the equivalent
  • Security Grade B and/or A Certificate or the equivalent is advantageous
  • Minimum 3year relevant practical experience in a similar capacity
  • Proficient knowledge of MS office package: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient knowledge of managing operations in a security industry
