Compliance Manager | Watershed Consulting

Our client in the insurance sector providing health and life insurance products is looking to employ a compliance manager. They offer stability and an enabling environment for both personal and career growth.

Responsibilities: –

• Creating and managing tools to monitor compliance exposure to the business
• Monitoring adherence by the business to compliance requirements
• Acting as a liaison and facilitator between group compliance and business
• Taking full responsibility for developing and/or reviews of company policies, policy renewals, policy wording, and processes, including system and data requirements, that affect the Compliance function
• Maintaining awareness of regulatory framework and non-insurance regulatory framework, e.g., FICA, POPIA, PAIA, etc.
• Compliance audits/reviews of internal departments
• Assist in the compiling of statutory reports to the FSCA and insurers
• Assist with any external audit requirements
• Complex complaints

Qualifications: –

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law or equivalent
• RE5

Skills and Experience:

• 5 years’ Risk and Compliance management experience within the insurance industry
• Expert knowledge of legislation applicable to the insurance industry
• CBR Reporting
• Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements e.g., FICA, FAIS, TCF, FATCA
